'Light Corridor' 36"by 24" Pastel on sandpaper with a wet pigment underpainting. Plein Air, done this afternoon.
I'm back to pastel. My first love. My explorations in oil and acrylic taught me that I already am where I want to be. Loose. Expressive. Looking forward to a whole new body of work.
Good. Nice painting and glad to hear you are back n the saddle.

ReplyDeleteWow -- loose as a goose!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're back into your pastels, too.
Besides being a pleasure to see, there's always so much to learn from your paintings.
Thanks for your comments, I look forward to them.
ReplyDeleteVictoria, I'm glad to see you here.
Wonderful! I do so UNDERSTAND! I just fumble around but made a foray into acrylics and got totally frustrated! It really is a pleasure to look at your work...and it must give you such pleasure to be able to make yourself content too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats.
I am so happy! I love your pastels and I love your pastel paper. It made the cut for "First most important packages" when I moved to San Francisco. Now seeing you painting on it again warms my heart. Cool as your other paintings are, I love your pastels best.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back to doing what you know and love! Of course I love this painting!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back to pastels. With all it's frustrations came some joy in the end. This piece has that wonderful playfulness that is so Kitty!
